The international symposium Indigenous Peoples: Nature and Justicetook place on April 17 and 18 at the Superior Court of Justice (STJ) in Brasília.
The event - organized in partnership with the Association of Brazilian Magistrates (AMB) and sponsored by Banco do Brasil, with the support of the Ministry of Indigenous Peoples and the National Foundation for Indigenous Peoples (FUNAI) - sought to deepen the dialogue on the rights of indigenous peoples and debate the improvement of public policies for these populations.
An immersion in the heart of the Amazon Rainforest
The film Amazônia Viva, the result of a partnership between the Interfaith Rainforest Initiative (IRI Brazil) and the audiovisual production company Pindorama Filmes, was shown during the two days of the symposium.
With images captured on 360-degree cameras and a duration of ten minutes, script and direction by Estevão Ciavatta and narration by Raquel Tupinambá, the work offers an immersive experience in the heart of the Amazon region. Throughout the virtual journey, the audience will have the sensation - provided by a 3D experience - of physically being in the region of the Tapajós River, seeing and hearing the sounds of the forest.
