We're delighted to announce that the "Amazônia Viva film", an IRI Brazil project directed by Estêvão Ciavatta, won the Best Virtual Reality Film/360° Film Miró at the Barcelona Planet Film Festival!
We would especially like to thank director and screenwriter Estêvão Ciavatta, cacica Raquel Tupinambá, Pindorama Filmes, Studio KwO XR and the film's supporters, Instituto Clima e Sociedade - ICS and Conservation International - CI.
"Amazônia Viva" has come to unite and integrate ordinary people from different places with indigenous peoples, local communities, environmentalists, public managers and scientists for the restoration and conservation of the world's largest rainforest. It is one of the main tools we are using in our programs to raise awareness, train and engage religious leaders and communities about the preservation of the Amazon and the defense of indigenous peoples, quilombolas and local communities.
